Upgrade Or Start From Scratch

There comes a time when many homeowners find their current space does not fit with their needs and preferences. In some cases, people buy an existing house and would like to customize it to their styles, needs, and preferences. In other cases, people outgrow their current home and decide it’s time for a complete update to that home to meet their current lifestyle. Whatever your goals, Modern Homestead can work with you to convert your current space into the home of your dreams with a whole home remodel.

Perfectly Custom Tailored

A whole-home remodels typically entails making many modifications to the kitchen, bathrooms, various other rooms as well as any combination of installing new finish products such as windows, doors, siding, roofing, and flooring. It is common to upgrade all the mechanicals such as plumbing, heating cooling, and electrical. In some cases, a whole house remodel will include a room addition. The end result is that you’ll have a home that Modern Homestead has custom-tailored to work perfectly for you and your family.

Complete New Configuration Of Space

The photo at the top of the page shows a whole home remodel in Boulder, Colorado. The homeowners bought an existing 1970s home and worked with Modern Homestead to completely redesign and rebuild the entire interior of the home. The photo directly below shows the new open living space that was a result of completely reconfiguring the layout of the first floor of the home and removing walls that divided up the space.

Below you can see pictures of the home before it was renovated. The living space was carved up into small impractical rooms, the cabinetry and appliances were outdated, and the finishing trim pieces were nondescript.

Seamless Flow Of Space

Modern Homestead worked with the homeowners on a design that suited their preferences for an open, updated living space. We were able to remove several walls from the downstairs living space. Directly to the left, you can see how the kitchen flows seamlessly into the living and dining areas, creating a perfect space for entertaining family and friends.

We were also able to reconfigure the home's second floor to eliminate a small office space and create a luxurious master suite. The photos below show the new spacious bathroom and one of the custom walk-in closets.
