There comes a time when many homeowners find their current space does not fit with their needs and preferences. In some cases, people buy an existing house and would like to customize it to their styles, needs, and preferences. Whatever your goals, Modern Homestead can work with you to convert your current space into the home of your dreams with a whole home remodel.
Home completely modernized
The image on top is part of a recent project where we remodeled the majority of our client’s entire home. By adding and updating windows to the back of the home we completely transformed the character of the home by bringing in ample natural light. By refinishing the dark hardwood floor, repainting the walls, and updating the trim and fixtures we completely modernized the dated character of the home.
Minimal structural changes
Looking at another angle of the living room allows you to better how on the first floor we were able to modernize and open up the living space with fairly minimal structural changes. We refinished all flooring brightening up the space and contrasting black paint on trims modernized a dated 1970s interior.
Luminous and fresh spaces
Now we turn our attention to the Bathroom Remodeling portion for the home. The master bathroom was completely redesigned. The black trim finishes perfectly complement the modern floating vanity, and white subway tile. The guest bath was completely reconfigured and modernized to match the style of the master bath and other elements of the home.
Spacious bedroom design
We worked on some other areas such as enlarging the master suite by completely reconfiguring the second floor of the home. We added a new closet in part of what was previously a home office space and turned the previous closet into a beautiful spa-like master bath.
Clean and modern lines
The newly finished basement has clean modern lines and the open floorplan provides a huge additional living space.
Open feel with a small footprint
For this particular project we did not work on the Kitchen, but we encourage you to review our Kitchen Remodeling service if you are interested. Instead, we now we go outside to see the Home Studio build portion of the project. We constructed this freestanding home studio as a home office for a therapist. This would be her primary office for seeing patients. The high ceilings and abundant natural light create an open feel with a small footprint. This is the interior of the home office. Note the beautiful flooring the minimalist modern trim and the full mini-split HVAC system for heating and cooling.
