Louisville

A combination of old and new

Louisville, Colorado, has been voted one of the best places to live in the country. This is no surprise to Louisville residents who experience the town’s perfect blend of old and new every day.  From the historic buildings housing Old Town's Main Street's busy shops and restaurants to the mix of modern restaurants, stores, and hotels on McCaslin Boulevard, Louisville offers endless opportunities. During the summer, Old Town hosts outdoor concerts and a lively farmers' market, the Taste of Louisville event, and the annual Labor Day parade. With all this plus 1,700 acres of open space for outdoor activities, Louisville is a wonderful place to call home. To learn more about all this location has to offer, please visit the City of Louisville website.

Modern Homestead, a leading remodeling contractor, is proud to serve the residents of Louisville for all of their home renovation needs. Whether it’s a restoration of a historic home off of Main Street or a renovation of a townhouse near the open space, Modern Homestead is there to serve the residents of Louisville.

Classic Historic Homes in Louisville

Pictured at the top of the page is a classic historic home from neighboring Boulder. Modern Homestead restored many elements of the interior and exterior of the home to blend its historic character with new modern amenities. The picture immediately above shows custom-built barn doors that are an example of an accent feature we crafted for a more modern home in a historic neighborhood. Modern Homestead works with homeowners to incorporate these types of features to highlight the unique style preferences of the homeowner, as well as the character of the home and the surrounding neighborhood.

An Updated Look And Feel In Louisville Homes

The pictures that follow show two additional Modern Homestead projects. The first photo depicts the interior of a free-standing office and entertainment space that we custom-built for a homeowner. We worked with the homeowners to design a space that could tie into the open backyard and still suit the work needs of the homeowners. The second photo shows a kitchen remodel where Modern Homestead could completely update the look and feel of a dated kitchen by restoring the original cabinets, replacing lighting, and updating appliances.

Some of our most common projects are bathroom and master suite remodels. In the photo below you’ll see a great example of a modern master suite remodel. Modern Homestead redesigned the layout of a space-constrained master bathroom to make the room feel like an open modern spa. By incorporating multiple types of stone and marble, bright white tile, and a glass-encased shower room, we provided a feeling of substantial depth to the room.  As with all of our projects, we worked closely with the homeowner to ensure this design was custom-tailored to their style and daily needs.
