How We Work
Modern Homestead was created on the simple concept that home remodels and additions can be seamless and should not be a burden on the homeowner. With that mission, we’ve created a simple road map to reach your end goal and dream home in just 5 easy steps.
Step 1: Contact us
Feel free to reach out over email, phone, or on our Contact page. We will have a preliminary phone call and set up an in-person consultation with our sales and design team.
Step 2: Consultation
In a 1-2 hour in-person meeting we’ll go over your goals, timeline, and budget. We’ll walk you through more of our portfolio and provide detail on the design and construction process. In this meeting, we will both decide if we are a good fit to work together. If so, we’ll move to a Design Agreement to start the design process and generate project cost and schedule.
Step 3: Design Phase
The Modern Homestead design team works with you to fully plan out your project. This includes providing permit-ready floor plans, architectural and structural drawings, and design selections for your project. We’ll conclude the design phase with a design presentation, a single price quotation for the project, a detailed scope of work, and a preliminary schedule of construction.
Step 4: Construction Phase
After signing the Construction Agreement, we’ll start building. Your dedicated Project Manager will guide you through the entire construction. We’ll set you up with a personal Modern Homestead account that you will utilize throughout the project and beyond for open lines of communication and daily updates on the project.
Step 5: Completion & Beyond
Even when your project is complete, we’re not done working for you. You’ll have a final walk-through with your Modern Homestead team, and we’ll answer any final questions you might have. We’ll also let you know how you can continue to utilize your Modern Homestead account to access critical documents or get in touch with our team.
