Niwot, CO is the place to be
Niwot, Colorado, is a great place to visit and even a better place to live. The name of the town came from Chief Niwot, a tribal leader in the area during the nineteenth century. The name itself means “left-handed”. With the front range of the Rocky Mountains serving as the backdrop of our every day, we get to work, play, and dance here in Niwot, a town of 5,000 people situated just off the highway between Boulder and Longmont. Open and Inviting Floor Plans
The picture on the top of this page features a classic historic home from neighboring Boulder. We renovated various aspects of the interior and exterior of the home to provide the perfect blend of historic character and modern amenities. The picture on the right is an example of a whole home remodel Modern Homestead completed to modernize a dated 1970s residence. We modified the floor plan throughout the home to make it more open and inviting. We removed several walls dividing up the first floor and reconfigured the space to provide the expansive dining space you see above.
Perfectly Tailored
In the pictures that follow, you will see more examples of Modern Homestead remodels – two different types of office space designs. The first photo depicts the interior of a free-standing home office that we built from the ground up. The custom design of the interior is perfectly tailored to the style and preferences of the homeowner. In the second photo, you’ll see a bedroom that was converted to a practical home office and library room. By replacing drab carpeting with beautiful oak hardwood flooring and refinishing aging built-in shelving and cabinetry, we were able to completely reinvent the space.
Luxury In A Livable Space
Some of the most common remodel projects we’re asked to provide for Niwot homeowners are kitchen and bathroom remodels. In this section’s photo, you’ll see a great example of one of Modern Homestead’s master suite remodels. We redesigned the entire bathroom space to make it a luxurious spa complete with a freestanding tub, large double vanity, and a separate shower room. As with all of our projects, we worked to design a living space that is custom-tailored to the needs of the homeowner.
