Denver Renovation Expertise

Our renovation expertise spans all Denver housing styles, from historic single-family homes to modern downtown condos. The picture on the top of this page shows a remodeled kitchen in a historic home in nearby Boulder. We remodeled various aspects of the interior and exterior of the home to restore its historical elements. The kitchen incorporates the original brick as an accent wall that complements the refinished minimalist white cabinets and modern appliances. The picture immediately above this section shows a bathroom renovation in a contemporary home. We redesigned a space-constrained master suite to appear more open and modern. We incorporated various types of stone and marble, encased the luxurious shower in floating glass, and installed new windows into the space to bring in natural light.

Complete Home Remodel In Denver

In the pictures that follow, you will see before and after pictures from a whole home remodel where Modern Homestead completely redesigned and rebuilt the interior of the home. As you can see in the first photo, the original kitchen was outdated and cut off from a small living room. The second photo shows how we were able to open up the space to blend the kitchen and living space. We removed several walls, completely updated the flooring, trim cabinetry, and appliances, and also added large modern windows to bring in abundant natural light.

freestanding accessory dwellings

As Denver homeowners know, property space is sometimes limited. In cases where a home addition is not a realistic option, we design freestanding accessory dwellings to meet specific purposes. In this next picture, you will find an example of a custom workspace and entertainment room that Modern Homestead designed for a client who wanted to add an accessory dwelling to his backyard. The wall above the desk has a retractable movie screen for the projector encased in the custom maple wood cabinetry on the opposite wall. A hand-crafted couch has plentiful built-in storage to maximize the efficiency of the space. In-floor radiant heating makes this the perfect hideaway for winter, while the French doors can be opened to blend indoor and outdoor living in summer. We are able to customize this type of accessory unit to suit your lifestyle, property, and home design.
